darts added to dresses for more shape
darts add more tailoring and more design thought, but consider adding darts so that dresses are more flattering. some of the dresses are ones i'd never consider because of the shapelessness. darts could enhance the look to help with fit issues as well.

JaneI have an Isabelle with darts and actually HATE the darts. I saw they’re only on the larger sizes, and now I wish I checked if I could have gone smaller. My 30 day challenge will be done soon then I need to decide what to do with it. I really like the dress with a jacket or something over it, but I’m not happy wearing it alone or with something under it. Not sure if I’ll keep it, see if a tailor can help, or put it on B/S/T

CatherineDarts would complicate the fit. Most women have different bust levels and darts would most likely increase the number of returns.

NanAgree with Catherine. Darts are a nightmare for me (small bust, short torso) and never fit right. Much more flexibility for many figures without them.

KellyIf you add darts please describe that in the description. Many women who have had double mastectomies choose to "go flat" and cannot wear tops with darts. Very often with online retailers you cannot see darts in the bust area in photos even with extreme zoom. It leads to returns and frustration.if it is not specifically described in the description for those of us trying to avoid darts.

ChristyIf you do this, please check your demographics when determining where to place the dart. Oftentimes they are set for a teenager....and as you get older you don't need as high a dart.

Classic LoverConsidering a more fitted tailored silhouette. So, NOT using darts in current garments that are designed with a natural flow, but for those with CLASSIC leaning styles, to add a bit more tailoring, whether it be with shaping, or darts - they could be internal seaming - like the Kalle - but in styles that lean more constructed and not as body con.
