Easy to pack in a work bag, easy to put on when one just needs a light layer for too much AC or to quickly formalize a short sleeved work top or dress. Button closure, can be crew or v-neck.

Yes, a shorter layering cardigan but not with the boxy look, would be classic and super versatile.
